Women for Afghan Women Walk
Walking over the Brooklyn Bridge has long been a goal of mine but for some reason, I’ve never done it. My excuses have included “it’s too far away from my hotel” or “it’s would require me getting up too early” or “it will take too much time”. Finally Women for Afghan Women gave me a reason that I couldn’t resist – help raise money for our organization. So on a beautiful, crisp October morning, I finally walked over the Bridge with a group of people all there to help women and children live a better life. So maybe this is why I resisted so long, maybe I knew that walking over this iconic landmark would be so much enjoyable if I did it with a group of really great people. At any rate, it was everything I had hoped for and more.
