Mission Statement
Theatre for Humans, LLC (TFH) is an arts and entertainment production company with a mission to highlight US and global social issues and give voice to those whose stories must be told. Theatre for Humans’ projects will bring powerful social issue narratives to life by delivering impactful story telling in creative and entertaining ways to inform and engage the public.
Founders
Susan J. Blyth
Susan has enjoyed an extensive career in live theatre management as a Company Manager of numerous world premieres and touring Tony Award winning Broadway plays and musicals across North America and has worked as a General Manager, Associate Producer, House Manager and Stage Manager for theatre and dance companies in Los Angeles and Boston. As a Project Manager, she has produced events and managed tours for the Hollywood Studios and International Corporations with Paradigm Shift Worldwide, Inc. and Production & Special Events Services, Inc. She serves on the Advisory Board of Women for Afghan Women, an organization dedicated to protecting women and girls in Afghanistan and the US and is a member of the United Nations Association of the USA. Susan is most proud to be Co-Founder and Co-Producer of Theatre for Humans.
Terry Merkle
Terry began her career in theatre as the venue manager for The Nederlander Organization's Greek Theatre, Pantages Theatre, Wilshire Theatre and Henry Fonda Theatre. Her passion for theatre continues as Co-Founder and Co-Producer of Theatre for Humans. She is also an owner of Paradigm Shift Worldwide, Inc. and Production & Special Events Services, Inc., event marketing and production companies in Los Angeles . Her companies have won numerous awards for live events produced for both Hollywood Entertainment Companies and International Corporations. Terry is proud to serve as a board member for Women for Afghan Women.
