"The Trip" Theatre for Humans World Tour
The countdown has begun! t-minus 16 days and counting till we leave to to gather research and stories for our play. I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed by the size and scope of what we have chosen to take on... 10 countries in 4 months but at the same time, can't wait to start the journey. We will be visiting Thailand, Cambodia, India, South Africa, Kenya, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Egypt, Haiti and Ecuador. Fortunately we are traveling with a great team - so in addition to myself and Terry, we have a researcher and documentarian on board. I'd tell you more about them but you'll have to wait for the official press release (must listen to our publicist). This trip takes us to various different United Nations, CARE and other NGO programs around the globe. Although the logistics have been a bit challenging the people we've talked to in each country and now get to meet could not have been more accommodating. We have received global support for this project which just reinforces our belief that the time is now for these issues. Anyway, I've rambled enough. it's time to get back to work to make all this happen. Next blog... one bag, ten countries - what would you bring???
